We require enthusiastic people who are willing to teach children in shelter homes and wish to help these children in their journey of education. We all wish to work for the underpriviledged and help them in some way or other. This is your chnace to make a difference in the lives of these children in a small way. We are a volunteer based organization, therefore no stipend will be given. You will be provided with a certificate upon completion of your volunteering time with us( min 4 months). Read below to know more about the organization and the noble cause you wish to volunteer for.

There are numerous children in our country that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. These include abandoned, surrendered and trafficked children, orphans, as well as children with families that are unable to support them. They are often placed into **Child Care Institutions** where they are looked after with care, and given adequate supervision and guidance. 91% of these Child Care Institutions are run by nonprofits.. Apart from supporting their basic physical and emotional needs, it is imperative to provide them with a happy and enriching environment.

**HUManity **aims to leverage the existing resources to make sure that these institutions are places of nurture and rehabilitation, where children can grow to become happy and contributing members of society. To aid this vision of ensuring holistic development, we assist CCIs in filling gaps in the domains of education, health, food supply, infrastructure (physical, digital), etc. We plan to do so in collaboration with passionate volunteers, benign funders as well as other dedicated organisations working in the same sector.

We are a section-8 registered non-profit organization operating in 10 Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in Vizag since 2019 in various domains of education and health by adopting a needs based approach. One of our programs is directed toward strengthening the English and Math foundational basics of the children living in CCIs. We teach the students at their current understanding level, using a volunteer-based, online teaching model. We have signed MoU's with 6 Rainbow Home CCIs in Hyderabad and classes are running successfully in all of these 6 shelter homes.

Humanity Uplifting Mankind(HUManity), a not-for-profit organisation has been chosen by the Social Venture Partners(SVP) as an Implementing partner in Hyderabad city to positively impact the Child Care Institutions of Hyderabad under the aegis of SVP India for the next 3 years.
- Time commitment of **4 hours in a week**, take **two classes of two hours, twice a week** ( you can choose the days)
- At least 4 months of commitment, it immensely impacts the children if volunteers leave mid way
