Pain Treatment MD is a patient-centered healthcare practice dedicated to providing compassionate and efficient medical care. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced **Call Center Representative** to join our team and serve as the front line of communication with patients and referring providers.
**Position Summary**:
The Call Center Representative will be responsible for handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls related to scheduling, insurance verification, patient inquiries, and general administrative support. Prior experience working in a U.S.based medical office or healthcare call center is **required**.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments accurately based on provider availability and visit type
- Verify insurance information and eligibility when needed
- Document all patient interactions in the EMR system (experience with eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Respond to patient inquiries and route messages to clinical or administrative staff as appropriate
- Handle prior authorization and referral follow-ups when trained
**Qualifications**:
- **Minimum 1 year of experience in a U.S. medical office or healthcare call center is required**:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with EMR systems and call center software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare-related certification a plus
**Preferred Skills**:
- Familiarity with insurance verification and patient billing inquiries
- Prior experience with remote communication tools and ticketing systems
**Work Schedule**:
US Central Standard Time : 7:30 AM to 4:30PM
