**Position Purpose**
- **Responsibilities**
- Direct Responsibilities_
- 1. Application platform analysis & design resulting in a scalable & resilient architecture with key focus on performance of the platform.
- 3. Prepare high quality detailed design documents & specifications.
- 4. Mentoring the team on the design aspects & technical issues.
- 5. Demonstrate good understanding of UI design, ability to engage in discussions with End users to drive the UI mockup design, mentor the team on the UI design & usability aspects.
- 7. Reporting progress to all the stakeholders
- 8. Escalation of problems to the management & stakeholders, keeping everyone appraised of issues that affect the project and the deliverables of the project.
- 9. Ensuring that the project and organization architecture standards, technology stack & processes are followed.
- 10. Maintain administration tasks; i.e. Jira to record progress against tasks, Wiki for documentation.
- 11. Meeting deliverables deadlines.

- Monthly Management and Adhoc reporting
- **Technical & Behavioral Competencies**
- Minimum 12+ years’ experience, with minimum 2+ years in Architect or Application Design role
- In-depth knowledge & proven expertise in performance tuning, ability to design distributed & scalable architecture (realtime & batch) to support huge data processing (~ 1 billion records per day)
- In-depth knowledge and Design experience on Data Parallelism Frameworks, proven expertise on Java Concurrent Framework & Multi-Threading
- In-depth knowledge, proven expertise & hands-on experience in various Design Patterns, experience in UML notations & usage of diagramming tools (e.g. - Visio) will be a big plus
- In-depth knowledge & Expertise on Streaming & Event Frameworks (e.g. - Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge, expertise & hands-on prior experience in atleast one of the UI Frameworks (JQuery, Angular JS, Ext-JS, GWT/GXT, etc.) Knowledge of Usability Standards & W3C Accessibility Standards will be a big plus.
- Knowledge & Experience in Cloud Technologies & DevOps transitioning will be a big plus
- Investment Banking - Capital Markets domain experience is mandatory
