Job Title: Excavation Supervisor

Location: Nagpur

Position Type: Full-time

Salary-30k to 40k

Job Summary:
The Excavation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of excavation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating with various teams, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the project adheres to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination:
Develop detailed excavation plans and schedules.

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to align activities and resources.

Plan site logistics and manage site setup and demobilization.

Safety Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Conduct regular safety briefings, inspections, and training sessions.

Investigate and document any safety incidents or near misses.

Site Supervision:
Supervise excavation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Monitor the quality of work and ensure that excavation is carried out according to the plan.

Ensure the proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure that all excavation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Maintain detailed records of daily activities, equipment usage, inspections, and incidents.

Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.

Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve any issues that arise during excavation, such as unexpected underground utilities or difficult soil conditions.

Make adjustments to plans and schedules as necessary to keep the project on track.

Team Management:
Lead and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance and support.

Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in excavation or construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Certifications: OSHA certification or equivalent safety training; additional certifications in excavation or heavy equipment operation are advantageous.

**Skills**:Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical documents.

Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as required.

Capacity to work in potentially hazardous environments with proper safety gear.
