**Roles and Responsibilities**:
VMware & Virtualization:

- Proficient in VMware, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN for virtualization management and configuration.

Server Management:
Manage and maintain on-premises servers running Linux operating systems.

Perform regular updates, patches, upgrades, and system performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory for directory services management.

Patch Management:
Oversee and execute patch management processes using tools like WSUS, ManageEngine, or BigFix.

Ensure servers comply with the latest security updates and patches.
- Monitor and report on patch deployment statuses.

Vulnerability Mitigation:
Collaborate with security teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and address security incidents related to server infrastructure.

Server Hardware Management:
Manage and maintain server hardware from leading vendors like Dell, HP, and Cisco.

Utilize tools such as iDRAC, iLO, and other console management platforms for remote server management.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues efficiently.

Networking Basics:
Perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting to support server operations.
- Assist in resolving network-related issues affecting server performance.

Troubleshooting:
Provide day-to-day support for server, network, and hardware-related issues.
- Work closely with the IT support team to resolve incidents and service requests promptly.

Ticketing System Management:
Manage and resolve IT support tickets using the organization's ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.

**Skills & Qualifications**

Strong hands-on experience with VMware, vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN.

Proficiency in Linux server management and Active Directory.Expertise in patch management and vulnerability mitigation tools.Experience managing hardware from Dell, HP, and Cisco, with remote management tool proficiency (iDRAC/iLO).Basic networking knowledge with troubleshooting skills.Ability to manage IT support tickets effectively with strong documentation practices.
