Data Scientist

Do you enjoy experimenting with data? Are you able to develop, structure and facilitate the data activity (prescriptive and / or predictive analysis) to formulate business recommendations? We are looking for a Data Scientist to guide and challenge strategic and tactical marketing decisions such as customer segmentation, optimal level of investment per channel, prediction of customer engagement based on historical data. This role will be home-based with occasional travel to our Gurgaon office required.

You will use your knowledge of data, programming and statistics to collect and interpret large tables of data from different sources in order to anticipate business needs and make recommendations for best practice.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing Global analytics practice and work with our clients to unlock value from their data assets. You’ll work with a talented team of data professionals to delivery analytics solutions across a diverse range of sectors and clients worldwide.

What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering the technical elements of our analytics projects
- You should be able to manipulate and validate data like a pro
- Simplifying complex analysis into clear and compelling recommendations that enable the project team to achieve our client’s desired outcomes
- Co-ordinating integration, structuring, visualisation and data analysis activities, storytelling from data
- Actively contributing to exchanges and sharing of best practices related to data
- Developing efficient operations processes for high availability of Global Data platform
- Working as part of our global team; our operational, Insight and IT teams work together to solve data challenges
- Ensuring project trackers are maintained so that the Solutions Management Team has a single view of the range of opportunities in development, roll out delivery or live

What you'll need
- Bachelor or Masters degree with strong maths, statistics, or computer science base
- Minimum 3 years' experience delivering analytics in an in house or consulting setting
- Have worked on cloud computing environments such as Azure and AWS
- Experience working with large datasets within a relational databases (SQL)
- Experience building, testing and deploying data visualisation dashboards
- Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, data mining, text mining, topic modelling, big data and machine learning techniques
- Experienced working with Python/R and a visualization tool such as PowerBI/Tableau

Desirable
- Experience with Azure cloud-computing specifically Databricks and Data Factory
- Working experience within a consultancy / BPO environment
