**Function**:
**Location: -** Navi Mumbai

**Qualification: -** B. Tech in chem engineering, from premier institutes like IIT,

**Exp: -** With 8-14 years of **CTS/simulation modelling** experience using **process simulation** software such as **AspenPlus/Hysys/ROMeo/ UniSim/Petro-Sim/PROII **and 1 - 3 years’ experience in plant operations

1. Strong Chemical engineering fundamentals

2. Capability to develop Functional Design Specification document for model development

3. Capability to develop detailed design document for the model

4. Capability to develop flowsheet using the simulation software for the entire plant based on the PFD. Following specific skills are required while developing the flowsheet.

a. Modelling reaction kinetics, tuning binary interaction parameters, using solubility curves etc. based on information available in published literature and experimental/pilot plant data

b. Modelling and tuning equipment like columns, furnaces, compressor, pumps, heat exchangers etc. as a part of the flowsheet using process and equipment datasheets and performance curves

c. Improve model fidelity by comparing critical design information such as like Pressure, Temperature, Flow, composition, density, enthalpy, viscosity etc. and critical equipment parameters like efficiency, duty etc.

d. Integrate standalone models of separate sections, recycle streams, required utility streams to create plant wide model.

e. Tune integrated model for design case (HMB) as well as current operating conditions

5. Troubleshoot model convergence issues

6. Conduct validation for critical sections and Integrated model with Process Technologist

7. Conduct what-if studies and analysis for variety of operating conditions

8. Conduct studies such as column hydraulic, PSV sizing, debottlenecking etc.

9. Support the end-user like plant technologist for model update and maintenance

In addition to these skills, following skills are required for **dynamic modelling**:
1. Capability to integrated dynamic simulation model using the dynamic simulation software for the entire plant based on the PFD & PID, GA drawings, Isometrics, control narratives etc. Following specific skills are required while developing the flowsheet

a. Read GA drawings and Plot plans to incorporate elevations and nozzle heights

b. Develop control model using control narratives, Flow logic diagrams (FLD), C&E logics etc.

c. Develop models for equipment as per the PFD, PID, datasheets, GA drawings, Isometrics, etc. Should be able to tune critical equipment like compressors, Furnace, reactors, columns, etc.

d. Develop control models using control narratives, DCS/ESD/PLC logics and C&E metrics

e. Configure and tune PID controllers to match expected dynamic response

f. Conduct dynamic testing of equipment/controllers to ensure the model response is similar to plant

Pay: ₹125,000.00 per month
