Job objectives
- To help achieve the sales objective defined for new cars of the brand in the immediate geographical area of the dealer by means of marketing activities.
- To achieve a high level of potential utilisation and to secure the vehicle dealership revenue.
- To gain the commitment of customers and interested parties to the brand and to the vehicle dealership by means of personalised service and professional support.
- To stabilise and continuously expand the dealer-customer base.

Reporting To

Sales Manager / Marketing Head / GM

Main tasks

Ø Developing the marketing strategy and the plan on an annual/ quarterly/ monthly basis.

Ø Conduct regular meetings with the sales team to discuss enquiry target agreements/feedback and achievement of objectives.

Ø Submit the marketing plan for each month, post discussion with the sales and CRM team, to the management in advance in the previous month for approval.

Ø Act as a support function to the sales team to generate the desired number of quality enquiries in sync with the sales objectives of the dealership.

Ø Manage vendors/ marketing agencies and contractual/ commercial arrangements for the same.

Ø Manage marketing activities mix based on their efficiency and effectiveness. Plan marketing activities for the upcountry market.

Ø Maintain a database of all the customers and conduct localisation of customer care activities.

Ø On a periodic basis, should review the overall performance of the marketing activities as well as the effectiveness of each activity on key parameters like leads generated, return on investment, cost per enquiry, etc.

Ø Research and keep a track of marketing activities competitors and co-dealers.

Ø Assuming responsibility for training and advanced training of marketing employees.

Ø Motivating marketing employees.

Ø Acting as a role model and ensuring brand-compatible employee behaviour.

Ø Controlling marketing activities in accordance with corporate objectives.

Ø Analysing market potential, market presence and market utilization.

Ø Create marketing plans on a periodic basis in terms of budgets, enquiry targets, etc and review the actual vs planned targets.

Ø Be a single point of contact with the brand marketing team. Maintain reports as specified by the Brand marketing team.

Ø Planning and implementing marketing measures in coordination with the CRM & Sales team.

Ø Keep a track of the eligibility of the dealership on marketing reimbursements from the Brand. Maintain calculation around enquiries and test drives in coordination with the sales and team for the purpose of marketing reimbursements, if any. (For eg, Brand Fund, etc)

Ø Informing the sales team in advance of any marketing activity planned.

Ø Planning and implementing campaigns and other events at the dealership.

Ø Controlling sales promotion measures of Brand.

Ø Assuming responsibility for the processing of complaints and legal problems arising out of marketing activities.

Ø Implementing the standards/reference values of the Group for marketing and monitoring them.

Ø Providing process interface, communication promotion, and collaboration with other areas in the vehicle dealership.

Ø Ensure other marketing collateral (brochures, price lists, spec sheets, etc) are available at the dealership.
