**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and update course materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and examinations.
- Conduct classroom teaching, workshops, and practical sessions in line with the curriculum approved by maritime authorities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them with project work, assignments, and career advice.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in maritime technology, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare students for national and international certification exams as per industry standards (e.g., STCW).
- Coordinate with other faculty members and administrative staff to ensure smooth functioning of the academic programs.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Participate in curriculum development, course planning, and academic research initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like the Directorate General of Shipping and other relevant authorities.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or related fields from a recognized institute. A Certificate of Competency (COC) or equivalent from a recognized maritime authority is highly preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum [X] years of experience in the maritime industry as a deck officer, marine engineer, or other relevant roles.
- Prior teaching or training experience at a maritime academy/institution is desirable.
- **Certifications**: Valid STCW certification and relevant maritime training certifications.
- Strong knowledge of International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and SOLAS conventions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to simplify complex maritime concepts and create an interactive learning environment.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching platforms is an advantage.
