**Role Overview**

As a **Laundry Operative** at Safire Residency, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of linen for both **Safire Residency and Rockholm at the Lighthouse Beach**. This role demands attention to detail, efficiency, and consistent performance, ensuring guests and staff receive fresh, well-maintained linen at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive, sort, and process all soiled linen, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry from **Safire Residency and Rockholm**.
- Operate all laundry machinery (washing machines, dryers, steam press, flatwork ironer) safely and efficiently.
- Follow correct washing cycles based on fabric type, stain level, and load specifications.
- Iron, fold, and store clean linen neatly and systematically.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic laundry workspace at all times.
- Track and monitor daily linen usage; report shortages, excesses, and damages.
- Identify damaged or stained items and escalate for replacement or special treatment.
- Handle guest laundry (if applicable) with care and timely delivery.
- Follow all safety and chemical-handling guidelines.
- Coordinate with housekeeping teams at both properties to ensure timely supply of linen.
- Assist in linen inventory, monthly stock checks, and auditing processes.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor for action.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in hotel laundry operations (experience in multi-property laundry is an added advantage).
- Basic knowledge of fabric care, stain treatment, and laundry processes.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
- Physically fit to handle repetitive lifting and bending tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and quality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic communication skills in Malayalam; knowledge of Hindi/Tamil is beneficial.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
