You will be working as a Material Planner and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Manufacturing Unit Manager and will be responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory inclusive of sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Supporting internal customer service enquiries, setting inventory parameters, inventory targets and ensuring adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Segmenting the portfolio of materials through an ABC / XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy. Defining the inventory policies according to this segmentation
- Calculating and maintaining the planning systems and ERPs the inventory parameter like safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time and replenishment strategies
- Collaborating with buyers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOO, quality, lead-time and flexibility
- Working with operations buyers and GBS to align planning of material with call offs and ensuring that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders
- Managing MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis, supporting cycle counting and year-end inventory counting
- Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducting root case analysis when necessary and analyzing excess and obsolete or aging inventory
- Taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Procurement & Logistics

**Your background**:

- Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in any field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Material Planning, Cross function team collaboration, forecasting, inventory management
- Must have experience in PPC and SAP MM and should be proficient in excel
- Should have exposure to Instrumentation, Automotive and Automobile industry
