Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes, including cleaning, peeling, chopping, and portioning, following the recipes and instructions provided by the senior chefs.
- Follow established recipes and cooking techniques to prepare and cook food items under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring that all necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment are readily available.
- Support the plating and presentation of dishes, following the chef's instructions to ensure they meet the established standards.
- Uphold high standards of quality, taste, and presentation by following standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality assurance procedures.
- Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, maintaining cleanliness of the work area, and following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels, notifying superiors of low supplies, and participating in inventory counts as required.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills and knowledge, actively seeking guidance from senior chefs and taking advantage of training opportunities.
- Follow established kitchen policies, procedures, and recipes, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
