Job Summary

NetApp’s StorageGRID *Solution Enablement Team* product development team is looking for a talented software development engineer in test (SDET). We are looking for someone who can think methodically about our testing, see the vision of how to build a high-quality product, and help take us to the next level in customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will need to be technically strong, have a willingness to learn new things, and be very attentive to details. You will need to be passionate about high quality software, testing/testability, and automation. You will need to be a team player, a good communicator, and a problem solver.

Job Requirements

Demonstrated ability in driving quality assurance for software solutions, ability to define, document, and track testing requirements, ensuring best practices in test automation.
- Experience in writing test plans, test cases, and capturing test results.
- 5+ years of experience in product quality, testing methodologies, and having the customer perspective on technical/complex software solutions.
- 3+ years in manual QA and execution of ansible playbooks.
- 2+ years in Python or similar scripting languages, with focus on test automation.
- Good knowledge of Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems with ability to troubleshoot basic network and/or storage issues.
- Experience using DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, CI build systems.
- Work effectively with the product development team, excellent in technical communication, and a proven track record in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub and bug tracking systems.
- Experience working in open-source communities.
- Experience with automation testing frameworks like molecule framework.
- Experience with object storage (S3).

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
