As the Controller, you will play a vital role in managing the financial and accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to invoicing, cash account reconciliation, cost accounting, billing reconciliation, customer contract management, accounts payable (AP) management, financial reporting, and payroll management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Invoicing: Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing to customers. Coordinate with relevant departments to gather necessary information for invoicing, review invoices for accuracy, and address any discrepancies.
- Cash Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of cash accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for optimizing working capital.
- Cost Accounting: Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes to accurately track and allocate costs. Analyze cost data and provide insights to support pricing decisions, cost control initiatives, and profitability analysis.
- Billing Reconciliation: Reconcile customer billing statements with internal records, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accurate billing information. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to address billing-related inquiries and concerns.
- Customer Contract Management: Manage customer contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and accurate financial recording. Review contract terms, track revenue recognition, and reconcile invoice pricing with contract pricing.
- Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Oversee the AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. Review and work with CEO and CFO to approve AP transactions, maintain vendor relationships, and optimize payment terms.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards. Develop meaningful financial reports to provide insights on business performance.
- Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing, including accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements. Collaborate with HR to maintain employee payroll records.
- Collection of Past Due Invoices: Implement and oversee an effective collections process to recover past due invoices. Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer balances, communicate with customers to resolve payment issues, and escalate collection efforts when necessary.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Identify and implement appropriate financial software and tools to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, preferably in the technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
