**Position Overview**:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for driving the financial strategy, planning, and overall fiscal management of the footwear business. The role involves overseeing financial operations, optimizing cost structures, improving profitability, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to support growth in domestic and international markets. The CFO will also play a critical role in investments, expansion planning, and managing risks in a competitive and seasonal footwear industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Strategic Financial Leadership**
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth plans in the footwear and retail sector.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team in making strategic decisions on product pricing, distribution, and expansion.
- Evaluate financial performance of retail outlets, e-commerce platforms, and manufacturing units.

**2. Financial Planning & Analysis**
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Analyze sales trends, margins, seasonal impacts, and consumer buying behavior in the footwear market.
- Provide insights to improve inventory turnover and working capital management.

**3. Cost & Profitability Management**
- Monitor and control manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and distribution costs.
- Implement cost-optimization strategies without compromising quality.
- Maximize profitability across product lines and sales channels (retail, wholesale, exports, e-commerce).

**4. Treasury & Fund Management**
- Manage cash flows, working capital, and banking relationships.
- Evaluate funding requirements and secure financing for expansion projects.
- Ensure efficient utilization of financial resources.

**5. Compliance & Risk Management**
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Establish strong internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Oversee audits (internal and external) and investor reporting.

**6. Leadership & Team Development**
- Lead and mentor the finance, accounts, and compliance teams.
- Build a high-performance culture that supports business agility and innovation.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong financial acumen with expertise in retail, manufacturing, and supply chain finance.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, GST, and taxation in the footwear/apparel sector.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modeling, and MIS reporting.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (design, production, sales, and marketing).

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- CA / MBA (Finance) / CPA or equivalent.
- 15+ years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Prior experience in the **footwear, apparel, retail, or FMCG industry** is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in driving profitability, managing financial risks, and supporting business growth.
