The Role

As a backup Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a Backup Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of Backup software.- Setting up tape backup devices- Respond quickly and effectively to backup issues and outages.- Creation of reports for both clients and management- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations for storage Backup support- Experience with DSI (AS400) is a must- Experience with Spectrum Protect, Spectrum Protect Plus preferred.- Knowledge Hitachi, Oracle, IBM Storage and EMC arrays preferred.- Experience with Networker, AVAMAR, NetBackup, preferred- Must be detail-oriented with good organization skills- Excellent troubleshooting skills- Knowledge of encryption of the Backup environment preferred.- Good communication skills, need to participate in client meetings.- Handle regular day to day IT Infra operations.- Working on Service Desk tickets.-
- Coordinating with IT stake holders to fix the issues.-
- Participate in internal/external audits to showcase the IT compliance status.-
- Perform the IT related task and update the status higher management on regularly.-
- Participating in Day/Weekly status review meetings-
- Excellent oral and written communication skills-
- Experience in Storage and Backup tuning and configurations.-
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
- 10+ years of overall experience in IT Storage Domain with proven experience in Backup. A minimum of 8+ years of overall experience in IT Backup Domain with proven experience in Backup Operations, Client Meetings, External Audit.

Qualification:
B BE/ BTech/MCA/Diploma.
