Technician - Welding (AMWELR04-51_ATCM_SMVC_WEL)

**Purpose of the Role**

1. Responsible to carryout the error free Welding as per the customer requirement with zero rejections

2. Ensure On time Move Transaction, Bar code swiping, Eliminating waiting time, reduce part preparation time and providing suggestions for improvement

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

**Financial Orientation**

Continuous improvement processes by reducing a setup time and cost of welding consumable (Filler Wire, Gas) to reduce cost of production

**Customer Focus & Value Add**
- Deploy innovative ideas to reduce cost and improve productivity and efficiency
- Work on timely completion of customer complaint analysis and closure the same with error proof

**Operational Effectiveness**
- Carry out Welding of Thin Sheet metal, Plate, tube & Pipe welding joints.
- Perform Manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW (alias) TIG Welding) process
- Perform Welding Robot operating process and Programming
- Perform ferrous & Non ferrous welding
- Perform welding on Thin Sheet metal components (minimum 0.5mm thickness sheets), Plate, tube & Pipe joints
- Refer & follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Awareness on Metallographic/Macro Examination & Radiography (X-Ray) quality weld joints
- Perform of qualification test welds
- Awareness on NADCAP Knowledge.
- Awareness on Welding Consumable (Filler wire, Tungsten and gas) Knowledge.
- Awareness on GD & T Knowledge.
- Ensure parameter setting on welding machines for different thickness and different grade materials as per WPS
- Perform welding reworks, repairs, dressing & fitting operations as per Procedure
- Aware on Self inspection for critical parameters as per mentioned in MTS by filling SIR report with respective calibrated instruments
- Study the MTS, Operation sheets, work instruction and tools before Start the operation.
- Ensure that each part is separately stacked in 3C Container or VCI Paper or packing instruction as per MTS
- Record the process details through the Welding log register
- Verify the part identification and part quantities as per router
- Responsible for finishing the job and move to next stage and ERP
- Every month implemented kaizen & 5s Activities
