**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Payroll Processing**:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner using payroll software.
- Calculate wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and deductions based on employee timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant data.
- Review and verify payroll input for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and company policies in payroll processing.
- **Benefits Administration**:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and insurance brokers to ensure accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.
- **Tax Compliance**:

- Calculate and withhold appropriate federal, state, and local taxes from employee paychecks.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and reports, including W-2s, W-3s, 941s, and state unemployment tax filings, in compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- **Recordkeeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Generate payroll reports and analyses for management review and decision-making.
- **Payroll System Management**:

- Maintain and update payroll system configurations, including employee data, tax rates, and deductions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues, errors, and discrepancies.
- **Compliance and Audits**:

- Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Assist in internal and external payroll audits as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (preferably Greythr) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
