Key Responsibilities:
- **Patient Care**:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and record medical histories.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
- Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily activities.
- **Clinical Duties**:
- Perform routine nursing procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, wound care, and blood draws.
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist during operations as needed.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support as required.
- **Coordination and Communication**:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain nursing supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- **Education and Training**:
- Stay current with nursing best practices, standards, and regulations through continuous education.
- Mentor and supervise junior nursing staff and nursing students.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- **Quality Improvement**:
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare setting.
- Participate in audits and research projects to enhance patient care quality.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- **Licensure**: Valid nursing license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- **Experience**: Relevant clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- **Skills**:
- Strong clinical and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and medical emergencies calmly.
Working Conditions:
- **Schedule**: Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- **Environment**: Hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility setting, requiring long periods of standing and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients, moving equipment, and standing for extended periods.
Reporting Line:
The Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
