**Job Profile Summary
- JOB PURPOSE:

- Responsible for all gage related management activities, including the gage management procedure, general ledger, and establishing a checkout plan. Responsible for all gages checkout both inside and outside according to the plan and responsible for repairing and fixing torsion wrenches.
- JOB DUTIES:

- Locally, this position will be called Junior Gage Management Coordinator.- Use CBS operating system, establish checkout plan, complete the checkout and track the result. To be responsible for new gages’ book in, set serial number, checkout, track record and release. And update the general ledger. Contact with gager to checkout the gage, make sure all the gage are in the period of validity.
- Responsible for torsion wrench checkout in production area. Ensure all torsion wrench are meet the nicety requirement.
- Responsible for the gage reject which verified result is bad, and can not repair, gage lose, and also responsible for the gage seal up for keeping. This position will make the fix vs replace decision.
- Responsible for the maintenance, repair and track record of torsion wrench.
- Analyze the gage rationality to support the product improvement.
- Train all assembly workers to demonstrate proper use of the torsion wrench.

This is an individual contributor position where the incumbent is expected to learn, function independently and give advice and assistance to production areas. It will learn and take day to day guidance from the SG18 Quality position in the area.- Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).
- BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

- The position requires familiarity with engineering, manufacturing and maintenance standards and practices, and familiarity with various Caterpillar systems. The ability to utilize a variety of computer software packages is also necessary. The position typically requires 2 years of technical school, an apprenticeship program, a junior college diploma, or the equivalent experience and the incumbent may have limited job-related experience. Jobholder initiates communication with others outside immediate work group to work on new ideas or to counsel others, etc. The ability to listen to others is important to the job.Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
