**Brief Description about the Project**
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted challenges faced by teenagers on the autism spectrum during their transition into adulthood, including social, emotional, educational, and vocational aspects.
- Design and implement an India-specific, systematic assessment framework along with tailored support services that address the unique needs of children, teenagers, and young adults with autism, ensuring cultural relevance and contextual applicability within our setting.

**Daycare Caregiver**

**Position Starting**:15th February, 2025

**Salary**: Rs.20,000/- (To be enhanced after a probationary period to the satisfaction of the core team of CARE-ADD. Those with exceptional achievements will qualify for higher starting salary. Higher salary will be especially considered for those who are willing to formally agree to stay through project extensions as they occur. Longer term academic pursuits from within CARE-ADD would be one of the criteria that will be used to determine remuneration over time).

**Language**:English, Kannada. (Knowledge of at least one more Indian language preferably Hindi)

**Experience**:Prior experience in working with children and adolescents or young adults with intellectual impairments or autism is desirable but not mandatory. (Patience, empathy, nurturing approach and ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Basic understanding of child & adolescent safety and hygiene practices.)

**Preferred Qualifications**:10th Pass with Caregiver Training Certification (e.g., KPAMRC caregiver training for intellectually impaired individuals).

**Last Day for Receiving Application**:4th February 2025

**Roles Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily care, supervision, and engagement of children with autism.
- Support children during activities, meals, and personal care routines.
- Work closely with the Daycare Coordinator and therapists to implement activity plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to children.
- Monitor and report any behavioural or developmental concerns to the coordinator.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- To Participate in other teenage and young adult programs such as Social Skills Training Programs and Community-Based Assessments on days when daycare responsibilities are lighter or when additional support is required.
- Maintaining records
- Attending and presenting academic programs, seminars and workshops
- And all other duties as assigned by PI
