We are currently seeking a dedicated **HSE Professional** to join our team and ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace in line with industry standards and regulations.
**Position Overview**:
The **HSE Professional** will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs within our hydro power equipment manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring that all activities, processes, and products adhere to both local and international safety regulations and environmental standards, while fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Health, Safety, and Environmental Program Development**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines for the manufacturing site to comply with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
- Ensure that all operations meet HSE requirements and that employees follow safe work practices at all times.
**Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification**:
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard evaluations to identify and mitigate potential risks related to equipment, machinery, and processes in the manufacturing plant.
- Monitor, assess, and report on risks associated with the handling and use of hazardous materials, chemicals, and other environmental hazards.
**Safety Training & Awareness**:
- Design, deliver, and coordinate training programs on HSE topics, including safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and environmental compliance.
- Promote safety awareness among employees through regular meetings, safety briefings, and campaigns.
**Compliance Monitoring & Reporting**:
- Monitor and report HSE performance metrics and KPIs, preparing documentation for regulatory inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
**Environmental Management**:
- Oversee waste management, pollution control, and energy conservation practices in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Promote sustainability initiatives within the organization, helping reduce the company’s environmental footprint and supporting eco-friendly practices in the manufacturing process.
**Emergency Response & Incident Management**:
- Develop and regularly update emergency response plans for various scenarios (fire, chemical, natural disasters, etc.).
- Act as the point of contact during emergencies, ensuring proper response protocols are followed and that all incidents are reported and documented correctly.
**Continuous Improvement & Reporting**:
- Review and update HSE programs regularly to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with the latest industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into production planning and project development.
- Analyze trends in accident reports and environmental impact to identify preventive measures.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in manufacturing or the energy sector (hydro power experience is a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Strong understanding of risk management, environmental compliance, and emergency preparedness in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees, management, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience in the hydro power or renewable energy industry.
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency with HSE software tools and systems for reporting and compliance management.
- First Aid, CPR, or other relevant safety certifications.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
