**Video News Producer**
**Newsweek - Remote, India**
Newsweek is looking to recruit an enthusiastic full-time Video News Producer to join our growing video team. The role is currently remote in India but reports to the London video team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Produce, write, and edit several short digital news videos per day for stories on our website using Adobe Premiere and After Effects and other creation tools
- React to breaking/trending news stories as and when they happen
- Work with reporters and editors across different editorial groups to provide news coverage to articles
- Manage multiple editing schedules and projects of complexity and work successfully under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations
- Pitch and produce new video ideas that accompany articles on the Newsweek website
- Work closely with the video managers to help promote video work online through our YouTube account and social media
**Required Qualifications**
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a video editor and/or producer for digital or TV news, entertainment or public affairs outlet
- Demonstrated creative storytelling and technical skills, passion for journalism and professional judgment
- Proficient video editing skills with Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Awareness of video and editorial content management systems
- Knowledge of all aspects of production, from finding stories/videos and writing scripts to editing footage to create short news videos
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment
- Must be able to work in a team environment and work well with others
- Must be able to multitask and work collaboratively with editorial and technical teams across platforms and editorial and business disciplines
- Self starter and eagerness to contribute new ideas
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early morning, nights or weekends, if requested
- A plus: motion graphics experience, filming with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, setting up in-person or Zoom interviews
