We are seeking a Systems Administrator to drive continued excellence in our ongoing operations, performance monitoring, testing automation, and regular enhancements to our media monitoring and analytics platform. As a key member of our technology team, the individual will work directly with developers, quality assurance, and operations teams. The System Administrator will report to our Systems Engineering Manager and be responsible for day-to-day operations of our ‘big data’ environment.

Responsibilities:

- Data storage architecture and database performance management o Ensure data consistency across multiple geographic regions o Build fault-tolerant time to recovery procedures and tools
- Design and implement improved monitoring and service alerts, by: o Developing software to verify stability, interoperability, and scalability of system architecture. o Monitoring system operation to detect potential problems.
- Select and implement automated testing (such as Selenium) and deployment processes.
- Lead data quality, performance improvement, and automation initiatives.
- Maintain testing, staging, and production environments. (Amazon EC2, Docker) as well as assist with provisioning development environments (Docker Desktop)
- Maintain an on-prem Lab environment for Development/Integration purposes.
- Support technology evaluation and manage third-party vendors, including managing source repositories. (Git)
- Participate in design and code reviews for components produced by project teams to ensure maintainability and operational support.
- Demonstrate flexibility by acquiring new skills and taking on new tasks.
- Communicate with staff to understand specific system requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance for development issues, performing database management, cloud configuration and diagnosing network issues.
- Customer handling skills in a highly technical capacity.

Required Experience:

- 8-10 years of professional systems administration or systems engineering.
- MS degree in computing science with academic credentials (position involves academic paper review and integration of formal computing solutions) or MS degree in complementary science program
- Proven track record of problem solving and delivering high-quality operational support.
- System monitoring (Nagios, New Relic), performance profiling, and other operational tools.
- Excellent experience with the GNU/Linux operating system, including system-level tuning.
- Relational schema design and implementation.
- Non-SQL databases (MongoDB) and information retrieval systems (Lucene/ElasticSearch)
- Test automation, including Selenium.
- Deployment automation, including Vagrant, Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Iterative and test-driven development practices.
- Proven history of developing detailed design documentation and operational response protocols.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
