Frontend Trainer Remote

As an experienced Frontend trainer, you will help build a talented team of in-house software developers, technologists, strategists, and creatives who deliver ambitious digital experiences for our partners.

The Frontend trainer would work with a diverse team working in a distributed setup and provide training to entry-level and junior engineers to bring them up to speed to state-of-the-art practices in the Frontend ecosystem. They may also work with senior engineers to identify any gaps and plan to address them via group training or peer mentorship as applicable. They do this with the vision of building a team with strong programming fundamentals and competence in modern skill-set.

The trainer is a confident communicator internally who can be at ease with engineers of different skill levels while delivering training effortlessly in English in a distributed setting. **Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for delivering training in groups and occasionally one-to-one in a remote and in-person environment as required to bridge the skills gap in the team.
- Accountable for creating and managing curriculums, courses, and users using the Learning Management Systems.
- Responsible for determining contemporary standards in the Frontend ecosystem and including them in our curriculum.
- Involved in determining a reasonable set of skills required per career level and collaborating to keep them current.
- Explain complex technical concepts to the uninitiated with strong empathy.
- Responsible for forming a plan to bring all engineers up to speed to their required skills as per their designated career level.
- Proactively identify and analyze service area training needs to address performance gaps.
- Maintain accurate training records and prepare related reports and metrics as needed

***Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience with training, preferably in a distributed environment.
- 4+ years of experience using Frontend technologies.
- 2+ years of experience in instructional design and training module development.
- Strong English skills to be able to communicate easily and simply with a diverse team.
- Exposure to comfortably conduct virtual training sessions.

**Nice to have**:

- Experience writing software for production environments.
- Experience working in a distributed environment.
- Experience using and training on PHP and Drupal

**Special Considerations**:
All of Axelerant’s roles are considered work from anywhere. But, we’re mainly looking to build our teams around Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia unless specified otherwise. And, we typically expect people to have a two-hour crossover with 11 AM to 7 PM India (UTC+05:30) each workday for meetings and coaching. Further, our salaries are India-based with regional factoring, though some overrides exist.
