Welder/fabricator

**Job Summary**:
The Welder will perform high-quality welding and fabrication tasks on tractor loader components, contributing to the assembly and production of robust, reliable machinery. The role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating welding equipment, and ensuring that all welds meet stringent industry standards. The Welder will work collaboratively to achieve production goals while upholding safety and quality protocols in a manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Welding and Fabrication**:

- Carry out various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on metals used in tractor loader components, such as steel and specialty alloys.
- Interpret engineering blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications to plan welding and assembly tasks.
- Prepare, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts for welding, ensuring precision and alignment.
- **Quality Assurance and Inspection**:

- Inspect completed welds for compliance with specifications, addressing defects like cracks, warping, or porosity.
- Perform non-destructive tests and other quality checks to maintain weld integrity and safety standards.
- **Equipment Maintenance and Care**:

- Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and associated tools, performing necessary maintenance and adjustments.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety issues for prompt resolution.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with industry regulations, codes, and standards to ensure a safe and effective welding process.
- **Collaboration and Efficiency Improvement**:

- Coordinate with engineers, production staff, and other welders to optimize welding processes and meet production targets.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification in welding is advantageous.
- Proven experience in welding, particularly in manufacturing heavy equipment or tractor loaders.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick welding, and knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various positions, lift heavy materials, and perform tasks in a production environment.
- Familiarity with welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME) is preferred.

**Work Environment**:

- Manufacturing facility with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and welding fumes.
- Work involves standing, bending, lifting heavy components, and operating machinery for extended periods.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
