**Reporting to (Title)**:CreAgro EHS Lead

**Position Purpose**:
Responsible for CreAgro EHS with focus on Discovery and Process Chemistry. Working will be in shifts/ on weekends. The incumbent would be responsible for conducting documentation and reporting of activities within the area of responsibility.

**Strategic Responsibilities**:

- Contribute through good EHS practices to scientific innovation and well-being of the PI CreAgro employees
- Actively and proactively support the CreAgro group in managing the EHS practices as required and defined in achieving overall team and department objectives
- Keep self and team updated on the latest developments in EHS policies by active communication
- Continuously and consistently conduct documentation and reporting of activities within the area of responsibility

**Operational Responsibilities**:

- Implement Corporate/site EHS policy as applicable to the needs and requirements of the CreAgro Employees.
- Handle day to day work permits to ensure safe workplace
- Encourage employees to report incident and near-miss
- Ensure that incidents are investigated and accurately closed in time
- Analyse and publish the EHS related data for review by management
- Ensure employees, contract staff use appropriate PPE in work place & ensure PPE’s inventory maintenance
- Ensure daily rounds in all CreAgro area’s and capture safety observations, timely communication & follow up for correcting hazardous / unsafe conditions & acts with respective area owners
- Plan and ensure EHS internal audits are carried out at CreAgro as per schedule & communicate findings with respective area owners
- Monitor minor and major modifications to ensure that risk assessments have been undertaken to the required standard
- Inspect and evaluate all equipment, practices and procedures to ensure accordance with safety legislation and government regulations
- Report all critical emergencies, accidents, staff complaints to the management, and investigate them to identify potential consequences and need for action
- Increase health and safety awareness across all levels and departments of the organization
- Assist colleagues at all levels in carrying out health and safety measures
- Coordinate with, Site EHS, health and safety committees, APEX committees etc.
- Coordinate with site EHS for ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001 documentation & audits
- Extend support in preparation, review, and update appropriate sections of the company's emergency procedures manual

**Financial Responsibilities**:

- Work within the limits of approved budgets
- Maintain budgetary controls for both CAPEX and expenditure related budgets being set for the team

**People Responsibilities**:

- Align with Site EHS team
- Conduct Training & Education to employees & contractors on functional as well as corporate EHS policies
- Set up emergency plans and educate all employees on how to handle such situations
- Ensure smooth working by maintaining high level of morale and working ethics
- Ensure team harmony through collaboration and active participation in all team discussion

**Education Qualification**:

- MSc (Chemistry)
- Additional qualification in EHS preferred

**Work Experience**:

- MSc (Chemistry)
- Additional qualification in EHS preferred
