Environment artists are responsible for creating 3D sets either as set extensions or full CG replacements. They need to be able to create hard surface and organic assets, from modelling to texturing, which artistically meet the brief but also technically meet the needs of other disciplines. They need to be able to lay them out in a scene, with an eye to shot composition as well and have an understanding of the logístical aspects of dealing with sequences and shots.

**Qualifications**:
**Environment Essentials**
- Knowledge of modelling, sculpting, texturing
- Knowledge of layout, shot composition and photography
- Expertise in Maya and/or Houdini
- Experience with Mari/Substance, ZBrush and Nuke
- Previous experience working with scanned references, photos or other artwork to create textures
- Previous experience working with 3D scans

**Any of the following technical skills is a bonus**:

- Previous experience with real-time environments and engines (Unreal,Unity)
- Previous experience with look development and shading
- Previous experience with Linux

**Any of the following experience is a great advantage**:

- Previous experience with in a VFX facility
- Previous education or work experience in fine art or design
- Background in photography
- Artist
- Key Artist
- Technical Artist
- Lead
- Head of Department

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in illustration, industrial design, or fine art preferred.
- 3D projecting experience (3D generalist or Nuke compositing experience) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of photography is a bonus, especially in relation to lenses.
- Demonstrable skills in Concept design desirable but not essential.
- Mari, Vue and/or Modo experience would be an asset.

**Skills Required**:

- Skilled in painting photo-real images using photo reference to create the highest quality digital set extensions, skies, elements, and environments;
- Strong traditional art skills including knowledge of colour, lighting, perspective, and composition;
- Strong artistic flexibility, versatility, ability to match and/or adapt painting style to suit a range of production designs;
- Advanced 3D experience, preferably in Maya
- Ability to complete work within the bid timeframe, while maintaining constant communication with production teams and other CG artists.

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
