**Commi 2 (Junior Chef)**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the **preparation and cooking** of food as per the restaurant’s menu and recipes under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Ensure that food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to restaurant standards.
- Maintain the **cleanliness and organization** of your assigned station and kitchen area at all times.
- Ensure that food is cooked to the correct temperatures and adhere to all **food safety** and **sanitation** standards.
- Assist in the **stocking and inventory management**, ensuring that all ingredients are available and fresh.
- Work closely with the **Commi 1**, senior chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure that all kitchen tools and equipment are well-maintained and **cleaned regularly**.
- Assist with the **training and mentoring** of junior kitchen staff, if required.
- Prepare **mise en place** (ingredients and equipment for cooking) in advance for the day's operations.
- Follow **safety protocols** and ensure that health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in **menu planning**, suggesting ideas for new dishes or improvements.
- Support with any **ad hoc kitchen duties**, such as cleaning, preparation, and organizing food for service.

**Key Requirements**:

- **Minimum 2 years of experience** in the **restaurant industry** in a similar role (Commi 2 or Junior Chef).
- At least a **college graduate** or holds a **culinary certification**.
- Good understanding of **food preparation techniques**, **kitchen operations**, and **safety standards**.
- Strong attention to **detail** and ability to maintain **consistency in food quality** and **presentation**.
- Ability to work efficiently in a **fast-paced environment** and handle stress during peak hours.
- Strong **communication skills** and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work **flexible hours**, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- **Knowledge of food hygiene**, **sanitation procedures**, and **safety protocols**.
