**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Student Advising**: Meet with students individually or in groups to discuss study abroad opportunities, assess their academic and personal goals, and provide tailored recommendations based on their interests and needs.
- **Program Promotion**: Organize information sessions, workshops, fairs, and other events to promote study abroad programs, raise awareness about opportunities, and encourage student participation.
- **Program Selection**: Advise students on selecting suitable study abroad programs, considering factors such as academic offerings, destination preferences, language requirements, cultural immersion opportunities, and budget constraints.
- **Financial Planning**: Provide information and resources on study abroad funding options, scholarships, grants, loans, and budgeting strategies to help students finance their international education.
- **Pre-Departure Preparation**: Conduct pre-departure orientation sessions to prepare students for their study abroad experience, covering topics such as travel logistics, cultural adaptation, health and safety abroad, academic expectations, and cross-cultural communication.
- **Academic Planning**: Coordinate with academic advisors and faculty to ensure that study abroad courses align with students' academic goals, major requirements, and credit transfer policies.
- **Health and Safety Support**: Educate students about health insurance, vaccinations, medical care, and emergency procedures while abroad, and provide assistance in obtaining necessary travel documents and insurance coverage.
- **Cultural Integration**: Offer guidance on cultural adjustment, intercultural communication, and strategies for making the most of the study abroad experience, including recommendations for local activities, events, and community engagement opportunities.
- **Post-Program Reflection**: Facilitate re-entry programming and debriefing sessions to help students process their study abroad experience, reflect on personal and academic growth, and integrate their international experiences into their academic and career paths.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international education, international relations, higher education administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in study abroad advising, international education, student affairs, or a related field is advantageous.
- Knowledge of study abroad programs, academic exchange opportunities, and international education best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, faculty, staff, and international partners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for advising students, delivering presentations, and writing informational materials.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing program logistics, documentation, and student records.
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to work with diverse student populations from various backgrounds and identities.
- Cross-cultural communication skills and intercultural competency for interacting with individuals from different cultures and nationalities.
- Familiarity with travel logistics, visa regulations, health and safety protocols, and risk management strategies for study abroad programs.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in study abroad programming and student support services.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
