Network Administrator

Roles and Responsibili es:
Supervising maintenance, installa on, and updates of data centre systems, for both physical
and so ware
Establishing the rules related to data accessibility and distribu on.
Establishing the parameters for data entry or storage of customers’ data
Ensuring the safety and protec on of customers’ data
Managing the storage and distribu on of data
Backing up data / configura ons
Maintenance of equipment
Entertaining customers’ inquiries and issues
Recording the installa ons, upgrades, and maintenance of systems or so ware
Crea ng planning for capacity changes
Upgrading hardware or so ware used by the organiza on.
Researching new technologies to be u lized in the organiza ons.
Presen ng new tools that could be used to improve efficiency or cu ng costs.
Ensuring a safe and secure facility to protect the systems and power configura on.
Planning for any probable disrup ons, problems, and emergency
Providing support for technical teams
Ensuring precau ons are set in place whenever power outages or malicious a acks occurred.
Customizing database to fit with the requirements of the company.
Ensuring the opera ons are in compliance with the regula ons and laws.
Prepare plans for development and installa on of data centre according to present and
future requirements.
Monitor all so ware and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Centre
standards and systems.
Administer installa on and maintenance of organiza on data centre.
Monitor all ac vi es related to analysis and implement all data centre plans.
Supervise designing and evalua on of all server systems according to measurement of
process.
Perform troubleshoot on data centre, iden fy issues and assist in mely resolu on of same.
Manage and perform research to design new advanced data centre.
Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management prac ces for employees.
Coordinate with various departments and perform integra on of cri cal systems into
infrastructure.
Coordinate with IT, enhancement and business teams and develop strategies to ensure
achievement of data centre capacity.
Maintain expert knowledge on all applica ons and its use on systems for various cri cal
systems.
Ensure client sa sfac on and provide op mal level of customer services for various
departments.
Maintain effec ve professional rela onships with IT rela onship managers.
Maintain expert knowledge on all business procedures associate with assets and capacity.
Monitor all func onal resources required for growth and ensure appropriate working.
In-depth understanding of the current technology landscape (hos ng, network, systems,
storage, others), industry trends and emerging technology
Exper se in network design, bandwidth u liza on requirements, infrastructure
requirements, security, and network expansion.
Network capacity planning and es ma ng the effects of growth on the network.
Monitor applica ons, addi onal user growth projec ons and the effect on the network.
Ability to establish and maintain global network monitoring and aler ng pla orm and deliver
regular reports on status, u liza on, and recommenda ons to the management.
Experience with virtualized environments especially VMware networking including basic and
distributed switches.
Engineer will par cipate in an on-call rota on and may be called upon to work off-hours to
support customer escala ons.
Should have excellent analy cal skills coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and
drive.
Documen ng the current system.
Keeping the document up to date (basically current state of the network).
Mandatory Skills:
Hands-on experience with Firewalls like Taci ne, Routers and Switches, ex. Cisco, Juniper,
DELL Network Devices, Aruba, and log analysis.
Excellent communica on, wri en and verbal skills.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
Network security experience.
Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including
wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers and assist in mely resolu on
of same.
Knowledge of applica on transport and network infrastructure protocols.
Should be ready to work in Shi s.
Knowledge of Rou ng protocols BGP, OSPF, Windows & Linux OS.
Good to have hands-on experience on Checkpoint, SonicWALL, For net
