Data Associate

**Role Summary**: The role of Associate
- Knowledge and Impact is a key link between the program and Monitoring and Evaluation. The associate functions as an important aide to the program leadership to facilitate program monitoring and evaluation, and support the program team with the learnings from data. At the same time, the role will also help strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation systems by ensuring alignment with the ground reality of the program.

**What we need you to do**:

- Capturing Program efforts, outputs and outcomes.
- Lead a team of data field officers in ongoing data collection (Training, planning, program support).
- Reviewing collected data, providing feedback to the field team to ensure the ground reality of the program implementation.
- Ensure documentation of the qualitative aspects of program’s efforts and results.
- Ensure documentation of program’s learnings.
- Conduct further processing of the collected data for finalization, reporting and analyses.
- Data Management, Analyses and Visualization:
1) Manage all assigned databases (Ensuring completion, quality checks, correct categorization, error identification).

2) Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of the data to provide relevant and meaningful insights to program.

3) Present findings and program results using simple visualizations.
- Support Program Leadership and staff:
1) Conduct regular orientations and training for all field staff on data collection to improve data culture and quality.

2) Support program leadership in program reviews and providing structured, accurate and timely comparison of program’s progress towards milestones.

3) Lead conversations with program leadership to facilitate effective engagement with data and monitoring systems.

4) Facilitate periodic program reviews and lead dissemination of results, findings, discussions, action items.

5) Strengthen regional program teams’ usage of the dashboard to plan to review their work on an ongoing basis, build views suitable for granular, in-depth review by sub-teams.

6) Understand the program Log frame and committed results, help monitor ongoing progress and alert program leadership to areas demanding attention. Provide suggestions to strengthen he Log frame.

7) Provide inputs to the K&I leadership enhancing the monitoring system as a major support system for program teams.
- Reporting, Communication and Writing Support:
1) Creating funder reports.

2) Provide other program reports, event reports and presentations on need basis.

3) Provide inputs on annual reports, impact reports.
- Evaluations:
1) Design research tools and create survey questionnaires under the guidance of Head-K&I.

2) Create implementation plans for research and evaluation studies.

3) Manage operational requirements and field implantation of studies.

4) Prepare analytical reports and presentations for special projects.

5) Offer concrete programmatic suggestion based on interpretation of the data.

**To land this role you need to have**:

- A Bachelors or Master’s degree in a statistics/economics/ mathematics; or course or experience in data analytics.
- 3-4 years’ of work experience, preferably in the development sector.
- Experience in data management and report writing.
- Proficiency in working with large and multiple data sets.
- Knowledge of statistics.
- Good relationship-building and managerial skills.
- Excellent communications and writing skills.
- Fluency in both English, Hindi and Bengali (For West Bengal) is essential.
- Understanding of the JJ Act.
- Ability to multitask.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
