**Job Description**:
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Must be willing to work in any shift in a 24*7*365 work environment
- Responsible for day to day Alarm Monitoring, Escalation and Resolution of the Problem within agreed SLA
- Responsible for maintaining the Trouble-Ticketing system that will track the fault resolution process from its initial detection to its final correction.
- Provide monitoring and reporting on the health of all active field equipment and customer services implemented as part of the AAI FTI network.
- Responsible for managing 24*7 managing service desk in NOCC
- Ensure that all relevant stakeholders have been properly communicated during the major incidents and critical situation
- Responsible for generating performance report and circulation of reports to all relevant stakeholders, in correct formant and within the agreed timeline
- Responsible for collecting measurements of traffic usage for network optimization and efficiency of bandwidth usage.
- Responsible for maintaining real-time health and status information on all Network systems and their associated telecommunications links.
- Support performing all preventive and corrective maintenance for Network services.
- Escalation and follow up with all Telecom Partner, in case of any Incidence and follow up till closure
- Ability to work overtime in the event of a major outage / Emergency Situation.
- The Employee shall follow all Harris stated processes, policies, procedures and guidelines
- The Employee shall follow the FTI Security Requirements and Guidelines
- Travel and work at the BNOCC in the event of an emergency / as a part of Disaster Recovery Exercise
- The Employee shall pass and obtain the FTI certification and pass the Annual recertification
- Typical daily work activities shall include but are not limited to:
- Document all actions in trouble tickets; receive, log and track trouble tickets
- Provide status information on service outages, restoration actions, and security incidents
- Proper Shift Handover will all relevant information, related to Operations
- Work closely with customer site technical representatives and Telecom service providers via phone / mail
- Processing immediate service requests including contacting the customer assigned site representative.
- Obtain approval from designated AAI representative to begin work on services or equipment
- Update customer of trouble resolution efforts at designated and agreed upon intervals
- Escalate problems as per the Established Escalation process.
- Ensures Accuracy of information received from Telcom service providers.
- Submit any maintenance request paperwork needed to resolve trouble.
- Order any necessary replacement parts if field techs do not have the parts on-hand, as approved by the supervisor on duty.
- Provide step by step instructions / guidance to the filed support personnel as needed
- Educational Background:_
- UG: B. Tech / B.E in Electrical Engineering/ Electronic and Communication/ Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering / Network Technology / IT / Computer Science & Engineering
- CCNA / CCNP Certification will have an added advantage
- Experience and Industry Background:_
- 2 to 5 Years in NOC Environment (MPLS NOC / Transmission NOC / ISP NOC / Data Centre / IP Network NOC / Telecom NOC (Core Network / Packet Core Profile / STP)
- Skilled in working with networking and computer equipment and software including but not limited to:
- Logging in and configuring Cisco switches, routers, servers
- Loading, updating and patching devices and software
- Using and configuring software products like: CA Spectrum, Remedy, VMWare, Domain Controller, Vcenter, Splunk, Replicant, and Oracle
- Knowledge of IP protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, CCNA preferred
- English language written, and verbal skills are required.
- Soft Skills / Competencies_
- Extremely focused, attention to details, able to perform individually or in team under pressure
- Analytic, Intuitive able to take initiatives for resolving issues on hand
- Should be an Excellent team player
- Good Verbal and Written English Communication Skills
- Mature in working approach; process discipline
- Flexible to work in any working hour and ok with 24*7 E
