**Job Description**:
Job Description - NOCC Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing 24*7*365 Shift Operations of NOCC
- Managing Shift Rosters for all NOCC Technicians to ensure all desks are manned 24*7
- Ensuring the team monitors networks, end-to-end services in real-time to ensure SLA/KPIs fulfillment and initiate corrective actions to treat abnormal conditions or performance trends.
- Ensuring 100% ASR of Incoming call to NOCC and all mails, meant for NOCC Service Desks are responded within stipulated timeline
- Ensuring all Faults / Abnormal Behavior in the networks are tracked through Trouble Ticket / Fault Ticket, assigned to the Right Person at Right Time & resolved within SLA / OLA
- Ensuring all Tickets are closed with proper & realistic RCA within agreed timeline
- Creating & leading the conference bridge during any Critical / Emergency in the Network, Bringing all Required Resources in loop and ensuring timely resolution of the fault
- Responsible for flashing timely Incidence Update Message / Mail to all relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring RCA Analysis of all Major / Critical Network Fault and proper closure with documentation
- Responsible for preparing / updating & maintaining of SOP of all Major & Critical Network Fault Troubleshooting
- Ensuring all telecom circuit / MPLS related problems, are reported to the Telecom Service Provider and chasing till restoration.
- Ensuring all Performance Reports are being generated on time, with ZERO Error and being circulated to all Stakeholders as per agreed timeline.
- Regular Monitoring on the Performance Reports of all Network Entities and Telecom Links ( Lease Line & MPLS Links) and ensure timely action in case required
- Responsible to carry out Proactive Health check of all Critical Nodes in the system and triggering action when required
- Responsible for maintaining real-time health and status information on all Network systems and their associated telecommunications links
- Responsible for scheduling preventive maintenance activities as per the agreed process with OMO
- Ensures coordination of all maintenance activities with AAI prior to conducting maintenance at AAI facilities
- Provide expert guidance and oversight of the NOCC personnel to ensure optimum system/network performance and customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to perform all the functions of the NOCC Operator.
- Provide training and serve as mentor to all the initial NOCC Operators
- Verify that new NOCC operators are full trained, qualified and ready to work on the system without direct supervision
- Typical daily work activities supported shall include but are not limited to:
- Supervision of the NOCC personnel.
- Receive, log and track Trouble Tickets from AAI
- Provide status information on service outages, restoration actions, and security incidents
- Coordinate Network provisioning activities
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities including schedules and work status
- Support any AAI contingency plan development in the event of an outage
- Coordinate contingency plan implementation activities for the NOCC
- Assign each new NOCC operator a mentor and ensure the new Operators receive the needed guidance and training
- The Employee shall follow all Harris stated processes & procedures & ensure all NOCC Technicians are adhering to the same
Educational Background
- UG: B.Tech / B.E in Electrical Engineering/ Electronic and Communication/ Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering / Network Technology / IT / Computer Science & Engineering
- CCNA / CCNP Certification
- Doctorate not required
**Experience**:
- 5 to 7 Years in NOC Management (MPLS NOC / Transmission NOC / ISP NOC / Data Centre / IP Network NOC
Key Skills:
- Skilled in working with networking and computer equipment and software including but not limited to:
- Logging in and configuring Cisco switches, routers, servers
- Loading, updating and patching devices and software
- Using and configuring software products like: CA Spectrum, Remedy, VMWare, Domain Controller, Vcenter, Splunk, Replicant, and Oracle
- Knowledge of IP protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP (??); CCNA or CCNP preferred
- Good command on MIS / Excel / MS office
