**Basic job description**

Plan, direct, organize, coordinate & control the entire strategic procurement activities to ensure increase in profit by reducing input Material cost.

**Key Responsibility**

1) Cost Savings - Achieve targeted cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing

2) On-time Delivery - Ensure that all materials and components are delivered on time to meet production schedules

3) Inventory Levels - Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring materials are available when needed without excessive stock

4) Compliance Documentation - Accurate and up-to-date documentation of all procurement activities in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

5) Cost Analysis Reports - Regular analysis reports on procurement costs and market trends to support strategic decision-making

**Tasks & Activities**

1) Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and components.

2) Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand material requirements.

3) Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

4) Maintain and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply.

5) Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.

6) Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery.

7) Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.

8) Monitor and analyze purchasing expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

9) Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

10) Implement and maintain an inventory tracking system.

11) Ensure that purchased materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.

12) Coordinate with the quality control team for inspection and testing of materials.

13) Ensure compliance with legal and company policies during the procurement process.

14) Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.

15) Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market trends.

16) Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality discrepancies.

17) Work with suppliers and internal teams to find solutions to supply chain disruptions.
