The Staff Nurse Intern will work under the supervision of senior nursing staff to gain practical exposure in patient care. The internship program is designed to provide hands-on training in clinical practices, hospital protocols, and patient management in a multi-specialty hospital setting.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist senior nurses in providing bedside care to patients (hygiene, comfort, mobility, feeding support).
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
- Support in administering prescribed medications under supervision.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining patient case sheets and nursing records.
- Learn and assist in wound dressing, IV line care, catheterization, and other basic procedures.
- Accompany and assist patients during diagnostic investigations (lab, radiology).
- Provide support during emergency and critical care situations.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in wards, including infection control protocols.
- Handle wheelchairs, stretchers, and patient shifting with care.
- Communicate courteously with patients, relatives, and healthcare staff.
**Learning Outcomes**:
- Gain practical exposure to hospital-based nursing care.
- Understand hospital workflow and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Develop patient interaction and communication skills.
