**Responsibilities**
- Proofread documents for Firm style, spelling, diction,, usage, consistency, syntax, punctuation, typographical and grammatical errors
- Use standard proofreading marks to show what changes must be made on a document
- Review and evaluate documents as per the standard being followed by the clients.
- Compare original documents with revised documents to ensure that requested revisions were performed
- Communicate with attorneys regarding specific requests and deadlines
- Perform manual blacklining
- Check revised documents against markups to ensure that requested revisions were input accurately
- Enter job status information in an online database
- Scan proofreader markups to PDF.
- Keep supervisor informed of the status of work requests
- Maintain confidentiality of all clients’ information.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to manage multiple tasks or caseloads
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
- good attention to detail to be able to carefully analyze files and data
- legal research skills and the desire to develop your understanding of the law
- time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- **Knowledge of Laws (UK, US, Canada and Singapore etc.)**:

- Knowledge of Research and Client Management Tools.
- **Understanding of legal fundamentals, methods & procedures following by Clients.**

**Qualifications**:

- Law Graduate
- **2+ years of experience as a legal proofreader for UK, US, Canada, Singapore and other jurisdiction clients.**:

- High comfort level with text-based documents and legal terminology
- Advanced knowledge of spelling and grammar
- Knowledge of proofreading best practices
- Proficient knowledge of MS Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to clarify job instructions
- Ability to work well under pressure both individually and as a member of a team

**Job Type**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Schedule:

- Night shift
