**Job Summary**:
This position drives business growth by partnering with I&S, Product Development and Supply chain in GAD,AMEA and EU regions, contributing to product development and technology transfer programs by leading correct microbiology risk assessments and delivering flawless, accurate and on time results and by leading innovation projects to enhance speed to market and support launch of new improved products.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Planning & Process Establishment**:

- Plan and execute lab testing in conformance to CP Quality Standards and guidelines and review test results to provide accurate data.
- Conduct laboratory investigations and provide valuable inputs in RCAs and actions points
- Proactively partner with I&S and Supply chain to ensure microbiologically robust formulations and process safety and stability requirements are built into new products during development or process changes
- Manage CEB and NVO
- Lead applicable Quality and Safety standard compliance in Microbiology department

**Product Evaluation**:

- Perform and ensure all testing for finished goods, raw materials and WIPs is performed accurately, according to QMICs and results are provided within the stipulated time.
- Monitor microbiological laboratory operations
- Ensure maintenance and calibration of equipment’s
- Recommend formulation changes to the product development team to arrest contamination
- Ensure process safety and stability requirements are built into new products during development or process changes
- Develop tests to support the claims for regional products

**Process Improvement & Leading Change**:

- Provide inputs on automation and process improvement opportunities for the function
- Stay abreast of external networks and developments to shape and improve global programs
- Lead change and ensure readiness to accept and adopt the changes to way of doing business
- Lead innovation projects to create new and improved products and enhance speed to market

**Build Future Ready Agile Organization**:

- Should handle assigned business programs independently with minimum supervision
- Should manage and provide need based guidance/support to assigned trainees / scientist (s) on specific programs to meet multiple short term business and technical challenges

**Required (Education, Knowledge required)**:

- Master's Degree in Microbiology or other equivalent streams of Science with an experience in Microbiology is a must [should be good with technical fundamentals of Microbiology]
- Minimum 2 yrs of experience in Microbiology in FMCG / Pharma/ Food Industry

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Working knowledge of microbiological assessment of products and processes.
- Experience in dealing with global stakeholders.
- Microsoft Office or Google Suite proficiency (i.e, Sheets, Slides, Docs) preferred
