Our Life Global Underwriting & R&D is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Associate Data Scientist to work in our Mumbai office.

**Your Role**
You are a member of a specialized team of data scientists providing out-of-the box solution for all aspects of the insurance and reinsurance business.
- **
Your Key Responsibilities**
- Together with the team, provide integrated solutions for business based on data driven insights and strategies
- Perform extraction of data and develop basic database queries and data profiles
- Perform advanced Statistical and Machine Learning modelling exercise to develop description/predictive/prescriptive models
- Perform data visualization and reporting for effective communication of insights generated by modelling exercises
- Participate in regional and international initiatives and projects

**Your Profile**
- Degree qualified in Quantitative Science or relevant discipline
- 3 to 5 years‘ experience in model development, validation and implementation
- Proficient in R and/or Python
- Basic understanding of common algorithms like GLM, Decision Trees, Random Forests, XGBoost and Time Series
- Prior experience in (re)insurance and pursuit of actuarial studies a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Able to work independently as well as a strong team player
- Willing to relocate to Mumbai
