Food technology is at the heart of every successful FMCG company that retails packaged food. Food scientists/ technologists play a pivotal role in converting plain raw material into appetizing, consumable food. In a fast growing consumer market like India, there is a dearth of innovative recipes that are tasty, healthy and aligned with the palate of the consumer of today. We are looking for food technologists who deeply understand flavour and nutrition, are not afraid of thinking out of the box and are passionate about creating exciting and ground breaking products for the young India of today.

Location: Hyderabad

Experience - 5- 7 years

**Responsibilities**:

- Iterate existing products and processes for improvement and develop new ones from scratch
- Check and improve safety and quality control procedures from the raw material stage through to the finished product
- Research current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts
- Select raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
- Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products
- Audit suppliers and manage internal audits
- Run trials of new products - either alongside or together with product development
- Coordinate launches of new products
- Deal with customer complaint investigations or product issues to find solutions
- Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling
- Undertake long-term projects with other departments, such as reducing waste by improving efficiency
- Work on packaging innovation and technology
- Conduct experiments and produce sample products
- Design the processes and machinery for making products with a consistent flavour, colour and texture in large quantities
- Build relationships with suppliers and customers
- Develop the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety
- Work with engineering and production to develop solutions to production issues, while maintaining food safety.
