Patient Assessment & Evaluation**:

- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, etc.).
- Assess physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities through standardized tests, interviews, and observations.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and abilities.
- **
Treatment Planning & Intervention**:

- Design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily living activities (ADLs), including self-care, mobility, communication, and social participation.
- Provide interventions for motor coordination, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive rehabilitation, and compensatory strategies for functional independence.
- Use adaptive equipment and assistive technologies when necessary to enhance functional independence.
- **
Patient Education & Support**:

- Educate patients and families about adaptive strategies, injury prevention, and home modifications.
- Provide training on safe transfers, mobility aids, and techniques to promote independence in activities of daily living.
- Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families adjusting to lifestyle changes and rehabilitation.
- **
Progress Monitoring & Documentation**:

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, outcomes, and any significant changes in condition.
- Prepare reports for team meetings, patient reviews, and discharge planning.
- **
Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with other healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, neuropsychologists, social workers) to provide comprehensive care.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and coordination of care.
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and to address concerns.
