An **Ayurvedic Doctor** in a hospital setting plays a crucial role in integrating traditional Ayurvedic medicine with modern healthcare practices. Their responsibilities include:
**1. Patient Diagnosis & Consultation**
- Conduct detailed patient consultations using **Nadi Pariksha (pulse diagnosis)** and other Ayurvedic techniques.
- Assess patient history, lifestyle, and diet to determine the root cause of ailments.
- Educate patients about their **Prakriti (body constitution)** and how it affects their health.

**2. Treatment & Medication**
- Prescribe Ayurvedic medicines, including **herbal formulations, decoctions, and Rasayanas (rejuvenative therapies)**.
- Recommend Panchakarma therapies (Detoxification treatments) such as **Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana**.
- Guide patients on the proper usage of Ayurvedic medicines to avoid complications.

**3. Diet & Lifestyle Management**
- Develop personalized **Ahara (dietary plans)** based on Ayurvedic principles.
- Provide guidance on **Dinacharya (daily routine)** and **Ritucharya (seasonal regimens)** to maintain well-being.
- Suggest **yoga, meditation, and Pranayama** to support holistic healing.

**4. Integration with Modern Medicine**
- Work alongside allopathic doctors and specialists to provide **integrated healthcare solutions**.
- Recommend Ayurvedic treatments as a complementary approach to modern medicine when necessary.
- Participate in **clinical discussions and case studies** to explore the effectiveness of Ayurveda in various diseases.

**5. Hospital Administration & Documentation**
- Maintain accurate **patient records**, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and **Ayurvedic medical ethics**.
- Supervise the procurement and storage of Ayurvedic medicines and herbs.

**6. Research & Development**
- Conduct research on Ayurvedic formulations and their effects on chronic diseases.
- Participate in clinical trials and case studies to validate traditional remedies scientifically.
- Publish findings in Ayurvedic journals and contribute to the advancement of the field.

**7. Health Awareness & Community Engagement**
- Organize health camps and awareness programs on Ayurvedic wellness.
- Educate hospital staff and patients on the benefits of Ayurveda.
- Promote holistic healing by integrating **traditional wisdom with modern healthcare**.
