**Who You Are**
As a **Backup & Storage Administrator**, you will be a critical resource for managing and supporting backup infrastructure with a focus on enterprise-grade solutions. Your expertise in Veeam Backup and Replication including other Veeam components (VeeamOne, Orchestrator, VSPC, CloudConnect) technologies, Barracuda Backup, Datto, NetApp and other SAN technologies. You will serve as a lead on end-to-end deployment and support in Enterprise level environments, tackling complex backup infrastructure challenges and ensuring reliability.

You thrive on accountability, taking ownership of deployment engineering for new business pursuits and collaborating closely with the Architecture Team to translate project requirements into detailed, actionable solutions. With end-to-end responsibility for infrastructure design and build within the Backup and Recovery (BUR) capability, you’ll define deployment strategies and ensure seamless implementation. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is key, as is your commitment to excellence in delivering robust, secure, and efficient data protection solutions.

**Responsibilities**

As a **Backup & Storage Administrator**, you will be responsible for:
**Veeam Backup and Recovery Management**:

- Deploying, configuring, and managing Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Creating and maintaining backup jobs, replication jobs, and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitoring backup jobs, alerts, and system health.
- Troubleshooting and resolving backup and recovery issues.
- Optimizing backup and recovery processes to improve performance and reduce storage consumption.

**Storage Management**:

- Working with storage administrators to ensure sufficient storage capacity for Veeam backups.
- Understanding storage technologies such as SAN and NAS.
- Troubleshooting storage-related issues affecting Veeam backups.

**Security and Compliance**:

- Implementing and maintaining security best practices for Veeam environments.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations.

**Documentation**:

- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Veeam configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

**Qualifications**
- Strong understanding of **Veeam Backup & Replication**, including advanced features like SureBackup, SureReplica, and Instant Recovery.
- Demonstrated experience with **virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).**
- Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS).
- Proficiency in **scripting** (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Leverage deep experience with Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022, SQL and demonstrated experience working with **databases and database backups/restoration.**
- Implement and maintain system environments, including but not limited to: VMware, Citrix, Windows, Azure, and AWS.
- Establish and maintain the physical and logical architecture of all components. Perform Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, ADFS Administration.
- Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor, multi-site infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working for a managed service provider, value-added reseller, or solution provider supporting multiple customer accounts.
