Job Profile
The Highways team provides detailed design services for a wide spectrum of highways, utilities & drainage for Design and Build projects.

The increasing demands of Highways and Infrastructure projects in Mott MacDonald means we require a BIM/CAD Technician, well versed in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D to produce 2D/3D Highways, utilities and drainage models/drawings for co-ordination with wider project deliverables and drawings for construction.
**Job Description**:
As an CAD/BIM technician, you will be expected to be proactive in the production and resolution of models and provide technical input into other disciplines’ requirements. You may have a background of CAD technician. Key elements of the role are:

- Contribute to development of CAD capability in the team
- Preparing accurate models in a cohesive BIM environment
- Ensuring delivery to client requirements for quality standards
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to work self, taking ownership for quality and delivery of own work
- Able to work in a team with others across multiple disciplines
- Compliance with corporate governance processes
- Essential to Minimum 2 experience in AutoCAD and experience in Civil 3d is essential.
- Experience in Highways drawing production preferable
- Experience working in the Bentley ProjectWise environment
- Knowledge
of GG184 (Highways England Specification for the use of computer aided design
- Will know BIM tools & software in civil engineering infrastructure projects
- Proactive communication skills when working with colleagues & design teams
- Essential to be able to work self, taking a positive approach to managing and delivering workload
- Ability to work in an organised structured framework, aiding colleagues and delivering to the project programme
- Preferable experience of BS1192 and associated processes
- Based on level of experience, ability to provide help and mentoring in BIM development to the team
