**Title**:
Data Architect

**About the role**:
PAR seeks a full-time Data Architect who will work on the data platform. You will draw upon your big data, machine learning, software development, and deployment skills and contribute to key product features such as reporting, customer identity profiling, loyalty, online ordering, recommendations, and personalization.

**What You'll Do**:

- As a data architect, you will focus on the big picture of an organization's data strategy.
- You will be responsible for architecting the data pipeline and full data lifecycle for the PAR Platform.
- Your primary responsibility is to develop a cohesive data architecture that supports the organization's long-term vision.
- You design efficient data storage structures, data models, and standards, and optimize data retrieval for OLTP, reporting, analytics, and AI purposes.
- Establish guidelines, controls, and processes to make data available for developing scalable data-driven solutions.
- Enforce data ingestion, integration, and access patterns to support both real-time and batch-based consumer data needs.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access, ensuring data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Define canonical data formats to normalize data across multiple sources.
- Create comprehensive design documentation, and processes to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct architectural reviews to ensure the solution addresses customer pain points, business, and technical requirements, and alignment with standards and best practices.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive communications to convey data architectural direction and how it aligns with enterprise strategy and able to sell the strategy and implementation to executives.

**What You'll Need**:

- A bachelor's, master's, or doctorate in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience in Data Profiling and data modeling - Dimensional/relational.
- Experience in Batch and real-time data ingestion frameworks.
- Physical data modeling in both RDBMS and NoSQL.
- Proven expertise in designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse data architectures, including Warehouses, Lake houses, and integrated data stores.
- Proficient in addressing data-related challenges through analytical problem-solving and aligning data architecture with organizational business goals and objectives.
- Proficiency in Python, AWS, and any popular web framework.
- Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, NoSQL
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and find optimal solutions.
- Experience in a cloud environment for software development and deployment (AWS preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate a complex concept with thoughtful, actionable recommendations.

**Good to have**:

- Familiarity with distributed data processing tools like Hadoop, Spark, Ray, etc.
- Familiarity with one or more cloud computing environments like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Familiarity with retail personalization, digital marketing, and restaurant technology.
