Automated Metrology Instructor

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Instructor in automated metrology to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training in advanced manufacturing. This individual will oversee the laboratory, conduct practical sessions, and ensure participants gain hands-on experience in a safe and productive environment.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Laboratory Management**:

- Supervise and manage the advanced manufacturing laboratory, ensuring it is well-equipped and organized.
- Maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment, tools, and materials and oversee their procurement and maintenance.
- Enforce safety regulations and best practices within the laboratory.

**Instruction and Training**:

- Develop and deliver training modules and practical sessions in advanced manufacturing, including CNC machining, automation, quality control, metrology, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Provide hands-on instruction to participants, demonstrating the operation of machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Create a dynamic, engaging learning environment, encouraging active participation and skill development.
- Optimized inspection methods to expedite inspections and manage equipment capacity

**Participant Guidance**:

- Address participants' questions, concerns, and difficulties, providing timely assistance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere.

**Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, address potential hazards, and maintain a culture of safety awareness.
- Establish emergency protocols and procedures.

**Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess participants' practical skills and knowledge, providing constructive feedback and evaluation.
- Implement assessments and tests to gauge participants' understanding and progress.
- Collaborate with the education team to track and report on participant performance.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, equipment usage, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on laboratory operations, training outcomes, and any issues or incidents.
- Document participants' progress and performance.
- Support the investigation, corrective, preventive & initiative-taking actions to resolve component quality-related issues.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing metrology and calibration procedures and methods using various tools and software.
- Familiarity with automated metrology systems and technologies such as robotic loading, machine vision, and artificial intelligence.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to in-depth detailing for the quality complaints
- Should know about CNC technology, automation technology, robots, Cobots, etc.

**Education Qualification & Experience**:

- B. Tech/B. E: Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 7-8 years’ experience, or Diploma in Mechanical engineering with at least 10 years of experience in mechanical/machine design/advanced manufacturing/production technology
- At least 4-5 years of experience in training/teaching
- 2A certification or accreditation in metrology, calibration, or quality assurance from a recognized organization such as ASQ.

**Key Skills**:

- Skilled in dimensional measurement, GD&T, calibration, and quality control of automotive parts and assemblies
- Familiar with metrology standards, such as ISO, ASME, and ANSI
- Developed and optimized CMM programs for ad hoc and NPI inspection requests
- Automated metrology systems include CNC, metrology, robotic loading, and data collection and analysis.
