**Job Title**:
Collection Officer

**Job Summary**:
The Collection Officer is responsible for contacting clients to recover outstanding debts while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The role requires effective communication, negotiation skills, and a solution-oriented approach to resolving payment issues.

**Key Responsibilities:Debt Recovery**:

- Negotiate repayment terms and offer customized solutions based on the customer’s financial situation.
- Develop and implement collection strategies to meet recovery targets.
- Send reminders and escalate delinquent accounts when necessary.

**Account Monitoring**:

- Analyze customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of collection activities, payment agreements, and account statuses.
- Monitor payment arrangements to ensure compliance and timely repayments.

**Customer Relationship Management**:

- Handle customer inquiries and disputes professionally and provide accurate information about repayment options.
- Educate customers on consequences of non-payment and advise them on maintaining good credit standing.

**Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations governing collections.
- Prepare and submit reports on collection status, delinquent accounts, and recovery metrics.
- Collaborate with legal and risk management teams for escalated recovery cases.
