Introduction:
Oversee and protect Group Operational Resilience’s risk position through the day-to-day monitoring and management of Issues, Dispensations, Waivers, Breaches, Resilience KIs, measures and metrics which impact the Resilience of the bank. Monitor and escalate/action areas of non-compliance.

What will you be doing?
- Analyse and report all ORAC items that are owned by Resilience
- Act as the gateway for acceptance of all ORAC items that are submitted for Group Operational Resilience Ownership
- Ensure all Resilience ORAC items meet data quality standards across all ORAC fields to ensure that the understanding, knowledge, ownership, timing, activities, etc. is clear, accurate and unambiguous
- Track ORAC items to closure
- Review and approve Issue Closure Packs
- Provide monthly progress status updates for those Resilience ORAC items for which the Governance and Reporting function acts as Issue and/or Action Coordinator
- Seek approval for closure of all Major and Critical Resilience owned ORAC items from CSO CCO, the Accountable Executive and Horizontal Owner
- Analyse and report all Resilience KIs
- Create ad-hoc, weekly and monthly report
- Identify root cause and action plan for KIs outside risk appetite (beyond agreed thresholds); escalate as part of monthly or quarterly Risk and Control Forums
- Review and approve all KI related actions plans
- Provide monthly KI status updates
- Recommend improved or new Controls to address non-compliance
- Recommend improved or new KIs Controls to improve Resilience insights
- Work in collaboration with development teams, business analysts, customers and other partners across Group Resilience and the wider CSO to ensure the delivery of ORAC items and KI improvements is achieved
- Act as deputy for the Governance and Reporting Manager
- Remain current with the Resilience position of the bank and the progress being made by Group Resilience to drive the bank’s resilience.
- Manage and deliver the communications plan for Governance and Reporting
- Important Business Services Health report overall process management

What we’re looking for:

- Risk and Controls background
- Knowledge of the Issues Management Standard and related Policies and frameworks
- Extensive ORAC knowledge
- Numeracy skills
- Presentation and communication skills
- Analysis of ORAC item content and the ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure clarity and consistency
- Communications skills to manage direct and non-direct reports. Colleagues may be in multiple different departments and locations.
- Process oriented and the ability to develop processes for consistent management and oversight of the Governance and Reporting position
- Self-motivated. Experience of self-starting with an ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
- Ability to work in a pressured environment and cope with the demand of working to tight deadlines
- Experience of working with and influencing stakeholders
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Tableau, Excel

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Understanding of resilience processes and MI (Business Services and associated Dependencies, Incident and Crisis Management, Workforce Recovery Planning)
- University or relevant experience considered
