**Job Title**: English Teacher for Classes 9 and 10

**Position Summary**:
The English Teacher for Classes 9 and 10 is responsible for teaching advanced English language skills, literature, grammar, and writing to students in secondary school. This role requires creating engaging lesson plans, promoting critical thinking, and helping students develop strong analytical and communication skills. The teacher should be well-versed in the curriculum for these grades, guiding students through both language and literature components.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Delivery**: Teach English language and literature in line with the curriculum for Classes 9 and 10, covering poetry, prose, drama, grammar, and writing.
- **Lesson Planning**: Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans that engage students and meet curriculum standards; incorporate activities to strengthen comprehension and critical thinking.
- **Reading and Analysis**: Guide students in analyzing texts, identifying themes, literary devices, and the author's intent; foster an appreciation for literature.
- **Writing Instruction**: Teach essay writing, creative writing, and report writing, with a focus on structure, grammar, and clarity.
- **Student Assessment**: Conduct regular assessments, including tests, assignments, and quizzes; provide feedback to students to support their learning and improvement.
- **Exam Preparation**: Prepare students for exams by reviewing key concepts, past exam papers, and time management strategies.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to focused learning.
- **Parent and Staff Collaboration**: Communicate with parents about student progress and work with other teachers to support holistic development.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in teaching English at the secondary school level, preferably Classes 9 and 10.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment standards for these grades.
