- Obtains raw data from operational staff and conducts timely data back entry of study-related data into the data acquisition database.
- Conducts timely and accurate quality control for study-related data.
- Learns to draft data tables from manually collected data and verifies data for accuracy.
- Recognizes deviations from normal or expected outcomes based on known reference standards and makes recommendations to the supervisor. Carries out decisions independently as pre-determined appropriate.
- To ensure quality/timeliness of all personal work performed meets required standards.
- Works under regular supervision.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- To carry out any duties not specified but might reasonably be expected of a Data Associate I.

**Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses**
- Master's degree in Lifesciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or equivalent required
- Experience may be substituted for educational requirements

**Minimum Required**:

- Competent with MS Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of GLP/GCP and regulatory requirements is advantageous

**Competencies**:

- Good organizational and time management skills are required.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills are required.
- To help foster a high professional standard and encourage good staff relationships.
- To be conscientious, disciplined, flexible, and adaptable, having a sense of responsibility and ensure that work is performed accurately, precisely, and in a timely manner.
